A Brooklyn family says despite lawsuits, the city isn?t doing anything to permanently fix its leaking problem.
The Johnson family claims for years raw sewage and dirty water has plagued its apartment in the Sheepshead Bay Houses. Family members say the sewage comes out of the toilet and the bathtub. The family has complained to the city?s housing authority, but says the problem persists. The most recent incident was on March 17. The Johnsons say they had to spend the night in a motel due to the flooding.
The Johnsons say the housing authority has come to clean up the mess, but its only a temporary fix. News 12 Brooklyn contacted the housing authority, but has yet to receive a comment on the issue.
