Brooklyn community leaders and officials announced a $15,000 reward Wednesday for information leading to the arrest of a man who attacked an 85-year-old woman in a Crown Heights elevator.
Congresswoman Leticia James and Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes contributed money to the reward fund, bringing it up to its current total.
In the meantime, police officers and activists have been handing out flyers showing a photograph of the suspect from a surveillance video recorded during the Aug. 14 robbery.
Police believe the same person may be responsible for 11 other Brooklyn robberies and assaults targeting the elderly.
