The Brooklyn man accused of posing as an NYPD officer and sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy pleaded not guilty in court today.
Steven Pappas, 50, allegedly showed the teen a police badge at the 53rd Street subway station in Sunset Park last month. He then lured the victim into a van, where he attacked him, police say.
Pappas' lawyer says he does not believe police discovered his client's DNA after the alleged assault took place.
He faces charges that include sexual abuse and criminal impersonation of a police officer.
Police also believe Pappas is behind the sexual assault of a 12-year-old in 2009.
