Family and friends gathered today to remember Nixzmary Brown, the 7-year-old girl found beaten to death in her Bed-Stuy home six years ago.

Brown was battered and tortured by her stepfather while her mother looked on and took no action, making it a child abuse case that shook the entire city.

Her mother, Nixzaliz Santiago, and stepfather, Cesar Rodriguez, were convicted of manslaughter in 2008 and are both in jail.
