Many Brooklyn residents are expressing mixed feelings after President Barack Obama made a historic, bold announcement supporting same-sex marriage.

The borough has a large gay community and many local officials are friendly toward the LGBT community, but some worry about the effect the watershed moment will have on the rest of the nation.
