A Brooklyn reverend was arrested during a protest to keep a local day care center operating as usual.
Rev. Herbert Daughtry, and three others, were charged with disorderly conduct when they tried to block the Administration of Children's Services (ACS) building in Manhattan Tuesday.
The group is fighting to keep new sponsors from taking over the Alonzo Daughtry Day Care Center, which would put 35 employees at risk of losing their jobs. ACS officials said the center would not be recommended for early learning because it scored below 75.
