Brooklyn residents will have a chance to voice their opinion on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's proposed "doomsday" budget at a public hearing Wednesday.
The MTA has warned that fares could jump up to $3 because of a $1.2 billion shortfall. In addition, the MTA's plan would lead to some subway and bus routes being canceled.
MTA board members have also said they are still hoping for a bailout from Albany or Washington.
The MTA's public hearing is at 6 p.m. at the New York Marriott near the Brooklyn Bridge.
