A special education student from Brooklyn claims his principal banned him from a regional school spelling bee.Lamarre Saint Phard is an eighth-grade student at I.S. 252. He says he was named "School Champion" for a spelling bee he won there, but the principal said he wasn't smart enough to represent the school.The Department of Education denies the allegations, claiming Saint Phard was ineligible for the contest because he placed fifth.
