A Brooklyn teenager is getting other young people to take a walk in the shoes of a soldier.
Jessica Bryan, 19, launched Step into their Boots, which allows participants to spend a year doing community service while wearing combat boots. After the year is over, volunteers donate the boots they purchased and wore to the family of a fallen solider.
Bryan says the program encourages youth to give back to their community for the sacrifices made by military service members.
