Tenants at 712 Crown St. say they have been without gas for cooking for 80 days.
They say their landlord hasn't been making any efforts to fix their gas problem, and they are now calling on the Department of Housing Preservation and Development to take action.
According to the Department of Building's website, there was a partial vacate order issued on the building in October.
The address also has nearly 30 open DOB violations.
One of those violations was for doing work on the gas lines without a permit. That violation was issued on the same day many residents say they first lost their gas.
Tenants say they have been calling the management company about the problem but that no one has answered them.
News 12 tried to contact the management company, but no one answered.
The Department of Housing Preservation and Development said in a statement that, "HPD is closely observing the situation at 712 Crown Street. Our team is in regular communication with the owner and will continue to monitor the situation until services are restored."
