Dozens of tenants from neighborhoods across the borough are gathering in Crown Heights today to protest what they say are unfair living conditions.
The group met on the corner of Franklin Avenue and President Street, where they say most of the landlords live.
Since state rent laws are expiring this summer, the tenants want to ensure the laws are renewed and strengthened.
They say they want to see more rent stabilization, but are fighting for other problems that exist such as overcharging new tenants, preferential rent and displacing senior citizens.
News 12 called the management company of an East Flatbush building for comment, but it went unanswered.
