Two women from Brooklyn are hoping to make a big difference in the world of texting and social media.

Rhianna Jones and Kerrilyn Gibson have created dozens of emoji designs in an effort to make sure there is inclusiveness for everyone.

The two friends and business partners say they don't see enough representation of people with hairstyles like themselves in the digital world, so they decided to make their own emojis to reflect people in all shades who wear Afros and other natural styles.

Jones and Gibson have also been drawing support from the community with a petition for Afro hair emojis on change.org. They say getting their designs on digital keyboards would be extremely exciting.

Nearly 1,000 people have already signed the petition for their emojis, and they're hoping to get a lot more soon.
