Mayor Bloomberg and 85 of his staff members will use the Office of Emergency Management in Brooklyn as their operational base for the next two weeks while City Hall gets a small makeover.
The mayor and his staff have already started working in Brooklyn, holding a meeting in their new headquarters.
Residents said they are happy that the mayor will be spending time in the borough. Mayor Bloomberg said his time in Brooklyn will be spent wisely.
The City Hall makeover is part of a $60,000 project that includes plans to renovate several other city buildings, a spokesperson for the mayor said.
