Mayor Michael Bloomberg is touting the success of the city's letter grading system for eateries.
According to the mayor, foodborne illnesses have dropped since Department of Health inspectors began placing a sanitary rating outside all restaurants.
Of the more than 2,000 eateries in The Bronx, about 72 percent have an "A" grade. Just under 12 percent have a "B" and less than 2 percent were given a "C."
