Two Mount Vernon men are facing charges after separate shoplifting incidents at Macy's in Yonkers' Cross County Center, according to police.

Authorities say 45-year-old Michael Silvera allegedly attempted to leave the store with more than $300 worth of unpaid merchandise on Sept. 18. Police say he was apprehended after running away from the store.

Later that same day, police say 25-year-old Davon Mallory allegedly stole merchandise from the same Macy's location and also ran from officers. He was arrested following a foot chase.

Both arrests were captured on Yonkers police body camera footage.

According to the Yonkers Police Department, citywide larcenies are down 8%.

Silvera and Mallory were each charged with petit larceny, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.
