Authorities say a body was found in Jamaica Bay Friday night.
They say the body washed ashore and was found near Aviation Road on the southeast side of Floyd Bennet Field.
Police say due to the decomposition of the body, the gender and race cannot be immediately determined.
Authorities are working to determine the cause of death.
