A Brooklyn man was arrested after police said officers found him carrying a gun while responding to a reported robbery in Midwood.
The NYPD said officers responded just after midnight Wednesday to a robbery report near East 15th Street and Avenue J.
Police said they spotted 21-year-old Tevon Fisher, who matched the description of the suspect.
Body-camera footage released by the NYPD shows Fisher holding what appears to be a firearm before officers took him into custody.
Investigators said officers later recovered a gun from Fisher’s backpack.
According to police, a 15-year-old boy was pistol-whipped during the robbery.
The teen suffered minor injuries and declined medical treatment.
Police have not said whether Fisher is accused of assaulting the teen or whether the teen was the robbery victim.
The investigation remains ongoing.
