An international adventure for a great cause ended Saturday in Coney Island as a young boy with autism completed a 600-mile bike ride.
James Potvin, 10, finished the two-week bike ride after beginning his journey in Whitby, Ontario with his father Chris.
“It was a great ride...It was so much fun. We felt like we did a lot of good for the communities we visited, for all the autistic kids who were following us,” said Chris Potvin.
The boy’s father says children with autism have “ambition and passion” and can “accomplish great things.”
“James rose to the challenge,” he says.
The two raised $20,000 for autism charities.
