Brand-new 8th Avenue Station elevator expands access for riders with disabilities
The MTA says it has plans to make 31 more stations fully accessible, with nine of them expected be completed by the end of the year.

3h agoThe MTA unveiled a brand-new elevator at the Eighth Avenue Station that aims to help riders with disabilities.
The new elevator on the southbound platform is just one of three elevators that were installed this month alone in subway stations across the city.
The MTA says it is trying to expand accessibility to make commuting easier for all New Yorkers, regardless of any disabilities they may have.
The MTA also opened another one at the Dyckman Street Station in Manhattan.
