Genessa Gordon, 18, was last seen at the Outreach Center in Brentwood Friday around 8 p.m. Suffolk police say she left the residential treatment facility without permission and headed into Manhattan.

Gordon's mother, Amy Morin, says her daughter suffers from mental illness and had been receiving treatment at Outreach for about three months and she's very concerned.

Morin says the Outreach Center doesn't allow patients to have any money, credit cards or a cellphone, so Gordon is very much on her own.
Morin says she's trying to remain strong but just wants her daughter to know she's looking for her and trying to get in contact with her.
