Bridgeport police say one person has died and another is in custody following a hit-and-run incident early Saturday morning.

It happened just before 1:30 a.m. near a gas station at the intersection of Boston Avenue and Success Avenue.

Police say a white or silver Chevy pickup truck hit a pedestrian. Trumbull police later found the vehicle with heavy front end damage.

The driver was taken into custody. The identity of the victim has not been released yet.
