Bridgeport police want the public's help to find a high school student who has not been seen since Tuesday.
The family met with a Bridgeport detective Sunday who is working on the case and actively looking through surveillance footage from around the neighborhood.
Throughout the city, flyers have been posted with the picture of 15-year-old Jael Martinez. He was last seen Tuesday afternoon just before 1:30 p.m. at Central High School, where he is a student. He was wearing black pants and a black hoodie and stands at almost 6 feet tall.
His relatives say he has never disappeared in the past and this behavior is very unlike him. Martinez's family told News 12 that they are not angry with him but just want him home.
"We're not able to sleep for five days. We've been up for five days already. We miss him a lot and we are so heartbroken right now. We're waiting for him to come back home," said Vianny Guzman, a family member.
Anyone with information is asked to call 203-576-TIPS.
