Bridgeport is celebrating the return of one of its most popular events this weekend.
The Greek Festival is back at Holy Trinity Church on Park Avenue.
Organizers say they are excited to get back together after the festival was canceled the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"It's wonderful to be able to have this event, because we haven't had it in a couple of years. We're very thankful and honored and blessed that we can actually have an event this year,” says John Tsil, of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Organizers say it's great having people come from surrounding communities to support the event, but it's wonderful when their hometown neighbors turn out as well.
The festival runs through Sunday at 4070 Park Ave.
