A 75-year-old woman who was attacked with her poodle by a loose pit bull outside her home in Brighton Beach today is recovering.
Tamara Osipova says she was walking her poodle outside her home on Corbin Place when a loose pit bull attacked her poodle. When she tried to intervene to save her dog, she says she was attacked. Osipova was hospitalized at Coney Island Hospital with three broken ribs, bites on her hand and a bruised knee. Her poodle has undergone surgery to repair a ripped liver and pancreas.
The pit bull's elderly owner says he's aware his dog attacked Osipova's poodle, and he's agreed to pay the costs for the poodle's surgery.
