Borough President Adolfo Carrion Jr. says the Bronx is continuing to boom economically.
Carrion says his office issued over 90 new addresses in April and over 330 since the start of the year. He says that development means an investment of $168 million into the borough.
The borough president cites job growth as a future benefit of the expansion.
Residents have said that although the growth may be good for the Bronx, an influx of people may add to existing parking problems.
A spokesperson for Carrion says his office does not expect the growth to slow down as the summer and early fall typically have high rates of development.
