Revelers lined the Grand Concourse Sunday for the 19th Annual Bronx Dominican Day Parade.
Parade-goers, some of whom had waited for hours in folding chairs before the start of the festivities, proudly waved flags and danced in the streets as floats went by.
Borough President Adolfo Carrión Jr. served as this year's grand marshal. The president of 1199 SEIU, a heath care union, and other officials joined in on the fun. Rep. Charles Rangel was among them.
The parade ended with a festival on Clayton Avenue.
The parade celebrates the contributions and culture of Dominicans in the Bronx and throughout New York City.
