6h agoChildren now have a new permanent place to learn, dream and grow in the Bronx after the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Bronx Children's Museum.
The 13,000-square foot museum finally has a permanent home on Exterior Street in the South Bronx. The first-of-its-kind facility features art installations and interactive exhibits where families can play, learn and connect to the borough.
The museum has been operating in the community without walls for more than a decade. After lots of time, investment and labor, parents and their kids say this is a dream come true.
The museum is now operating out of a building that used to supply power to the Bronx Terminal Market.
It officially opens doors to the public starting Dec. 3.
