The Bronx Community Recovery Center is set to close its doors next week.
The free community-based center on Willis Avenue, which opened in 2008, uses peer volunteers to help former convicts and drug and alcohol addicts in finding housing and employment. The center lost its grant in December.
The center's parent company Phoenix House issued a statement saying it has reached out to other programs in hopes of getting new funding.
