A Bronx family has taken to the streets to search for 14-year-old Stephanie Cornier, who they say has been missing since Monday.
They say she was last seen leaving her house for school on that day, but News 12 was told she never made it to the school building.
The victim’s family says it is unlike her to not come home or skip class. Stephanie Cornier is an eighth-grade student at MS296 SBAAM, and was last seen wearing a gray sweater, blue jeans, and a black backpack.
Her family has been going around the Longwood neighborhood posting flyers and asking residents if they have seen their loved one.
“Stephy, this is your mom telling you I love you and I miss you,” said Christina Quinones, the mother of the missing girl. “I will never give up finding you, and I’ll always be there for you whenever you can. Your sister Christie, she loves you as well. Also your dad loves you and misses you and we want you home safe.”
Detectives from the 41st Precinct are currently working with the family to aid in the search.
