Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Monday that job-placement services in the Bronx will now have extended hours of operation.
The city's WorkForce One Career Centers will now be open in the evening and during the weekend. The centers help residents find jobs by linking them to employers.
Bloomberg hopes the expanded hours will allow the city to equal the 17,000 job-placement successes it achieved in 2007.
