A juice bar in the Bronx is reopening its doors after months of being closed due to a nail salon next door that went up in flames back in September.
That fire took place at the nail salon that Cardi B’s nail artist owned. The flames began when the artist’s husband allegedly set the place ablaze.
Guerrero’s Juice Bar suffered as a result of the fire, facing excessive roof and water damage.
Many local businesses in East Tremont showed out to support juice bar owner Manny Navarro for his grand reopening, which is not only up to code but has a brand-new look.
“Even though he was closed, everybody still felt for him,” said Throgs Neck Business Improvement District executive director Bob Jean. “The fact of the matter is, he’s a great new idea in the neighborhood with just a different little twinge to it, and everybody likes it.”
Navarro says the initial loss from the fire was valued around $90,000 and that they lost out on about $100,000 in gross margins from the months they were closed. He says he’s excited to get back out there bringing juices, smoothies, and tasty treats to the community.
