Bronx communities are marking Wednesday as the 36th anniversary of the Happy Land fire, one of the most deadly fires in New York City history.
Bronx Community Board 6 will hold the annual memorial beginning with mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church followed by a procession from Crotona Mall to the Happy Land monument on Southern Boulevard.
