Police say a 25-year-old Bronx mother was caught in the crossfire on her walk to the Laundromat Tuesday evening.
According to authorities, Aisha Santiago was shot and killed during a fight among a group of men on East 146th Street. Santiago's cousin says she tried to duck down and shield her 9-year-old son, but when she stood up, she was shot.
Police say a man involved in the confrontation was shot in the leg and taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition. The other suspects involved in the incident fled the scene.
