Bronx mother continues to search for justice after 17-year-old son is killed

On May 6, close to midnight, Tony Boyd was shot in the chest and back by an unknown assailant at the Gouverneur Playground on Washington Avenue.

A Bronx mother says she is still looking for answers after her 17-year-old son was shot and killed last month. 
When Veronica Thaim came home late at night on May 6 and noticed her son wasn’t home, she said she knew something was wrong. She says when detectives showed up at her door, her worst fears became reality. 
"I lost it. I mean that's a feeling that nobody would ever want to experience,” said Thaim. 
On May 6, close to midnight, Tony Boyd was shot in the chest and back by an unknown assailant at the Gouverneur Playground on Washington Avenue. 
He was taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital and was pronounced dead. The chilling incident was caught on surveillance and later released by the police. 
Police say no arrests have been made at this time. 
Veronica Thaim and her 12-year-old daughter Tatiana both wear necklaces to remember Tony. 
She is pleading with the public and police to find the person who killed her son, so that no mother has to lose their child.
