A Bronx mother is frantically searching for her son with autism who went missing early Monday.
Claribel Castillo says her 20-year-old son Christopher Clarke left his house at 3 a.m. and she hasn’t heard from him since.
The mother says his cellphone was found outside an apartment building on Bryant Avenue. However, she doesn’t know how it got there.
The super of the building told her she cannot access the surveillance video since police are involved in the case, but she says the police have not requested it yet.
Castillo is unable to unlock the phone since she doesn’t know her son’s password.
She continues to pass out flyers hoping that someone has seen him.
Clarke is around 5 feet, 11 inches tall. He weighs about 170 pounds and was last seen wearing a black Northface.
She says due to his autism, he avoids eye contact and runs away from crowds of people.
“He has clouded judgment right now," Castillo says. "He's very confused so he may feel like no one cares about him, but we do."
Anyone who has seen Clarke or know anything about his whereabouts is asked to call police.
