Bronx native Sammy Mejia made big moves with DePaul University against Kansas State University Monday in the National Invitation Tournament.
Mejia, who tied another Blue Demon with 18 points during the game, was dominant on the court from the start. With about 10 minutes left in the matchup, the guard helped DePaul gain a 10-point lead. He sealed the deal in the final seconds by stealing the ball, giving the Blue Demons a 70-65 win.
DePaul advances to face the U.S. Air Force Academy Monday, March 26.
