A photographer from The Bronx is putting African-American women in focus to bring awareness to stereotypes faced today.
Fine arts photographer Ijeoma Iheanacho has set out to give 100 local women of African descent a chance to share their struggles in three separate portraits. The first photo portrays a stereotype, the second shows how the woman feels she really is and a third displays how the model wants the world to see her.
There will be an exhibit showcasing the 300 photos when the project is finished.
