A Bronx family whose ceiling collapsed right before Christmas says after News 12 shared their story, things turned around.
Rosa Gomez has lived at 964 Morris Ave. for 25 years and she says there's always been problems, but things escalated when the ceiling in her son's bedroom came crashing down.
To make matters worse, the collapse was due to a pipe burst so water came flooding through their home as well.
Gomez and her family tried multiple times to get help from management but says if it weren't for the News 12 report, she doesn't know how long she would've been waiting for repairs.
The ceiling now looks good as new - a great start to the new year for this family.
