Bronx residents are enjoying warm temperatures after a cold snap.
Temperatures were in the 50s Monday and expected to continue through Thursday. People took advantage of the mild weather and strolled along waterways and parks. Bicyclists were also out.
"Today's a nice day," says newspaper salesman Samuel Robinson. "Much better than when it's cold out here. Then I have to be bundled up with gloves and I have to dress warm."
Forecasters attribute the warm weather to winds coming up from the South.
They predict more frigid temperatures will return by next week, with the mercury expected to dip into the 30s.
