A lifetime of hard work has led wheelchair basketball star Sebastian Milan to a full scholarship at the University of Illinois, where he’ll play for the school’s wheelchair basketball team.
Milan is a senior at Cardinal Spellman, and has spent years working on his craft.
Sebastian and the New York Rolling Fury have been playing in tournaments across the United States, where Milan has made a name for himself as one of the best talents in his age group.
Milan is hoping to also compete for the USA team in the Paralympics.
“I've learned how to communicate to people, reach out to people, I've learned a bunch of things just about being a good human being in general,” said Milan. “Not just from my basketball team, but also from being here at Cardinal Spellman. I've learned a lot of things about maturing.”
