Police say a Bronx woman turned herself in to police custody in connection to the fatal shooting a woman in Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators say 38-year-old Latisha Bell is accused of running up behind 51-year-old Nichelle Thomas and shooting her in the back of the head on Fourth Avenue and St. Marks Place in Park Slope.
Authorities say Thomas was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Sources told News 12 that Thomas and the Bell appeared to have had a prior romantic relationship.
Police say Bell turned herself in shortly after the incident.
Bell is charged with murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon.
Sources told News 12 that Bell has had several prior arrests.
