A Brooklyn artist is getting ready to show off some of his pieces at the annual Harlem Fine Arts Show.
Michael Escoffery is being featured among more than 50 artists.
Escoffery is an award-winning painter originally from Jamaica but is now based in Brooklyn.
While he sells many of his pieces in the Faith Art Gallery in Downtown Brooklyn, his work can also be seen on the walls of Congress and U.S. embassies in more than 40 countries.
"My history comes through in my work, like primarily I'm a painter of women," said Escoffery. "I grew up with a mother, three sisters and a grandmother, so I'm deeply influenced by the strength of women."
The Harlem Fine Arts Show runs from Feb. 13-16 at Riverside Church in Manhattan.
