Celebrants came from all five boroughs to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Sunday for the its second Lunar New Year celebration.
The extravaganza featured a traditional Asian flower market, artwork from the Beijing Museum and traditional Chinese dance from the Red Silk Dancers. Kids were able to engage in hands-on craft workshops.
Organizers say the event is drawing huge crowds for its sophomore outing.
The Lunar New Year officially starts on Thursday, and 2008 will be the Year of the Rat. The celebration traditionally lasts two weeks.
