Brooklyn boxer partners with nonprofits to help other abuse survivors

Brooklyn boxer Melissa St.-Vil has been a world champion in the ring, but she says dealing with trauma has been the biggest battle of her life.
St.-Vil says a 2009 incident in Las Vegas brought back traumatic thoughts from a childhood she says included violence in her home.
Now she’s partnering with nonprofits P.A.V.E. and Give an Hour to offer support to other survivors.
