Just after blizzard-like conditions moved out, Brooklyn faced dangerously low temperatures that will stick around through Thursday.
News 12 reporter Hannah Kliger visited Canarsie Wednesday as the streets were notably less full due to the extreme cold and high winds.
The conditions are notably dangerous for the homeless and pets, with wind chills far below zero.
The cold temperatures hit Brooklyn just after a snow squall affected the area. The weather event did quickly exit the borough.
