The new flower garden at the Brooklyn Bridge Park is blooming for the first time with about 40 different types of flowers.

"It's a world class-designed garden that is not only stunningly beautiful with beautiful views, but it also has a lot of fascinating ecological functions," says Rebecca McMackin, director of horticulture.

The flowers will be around through October when they hit their peak.
