A Brooklyn deli owner says his store was targeted in what police call a citywide burglary spree.

Security footage from early Saturday morning shows someone breaking into Bagel Boy on Avenue Z, shattering the front door before rummaging through the store. Police say three cash registers were damaged before the person ran off.

The owner says this isn’t the first time the store has been hit.

"It’s happened in the past, about six months ago, a couple of times. Same M.O., same thing. Break the window, come in, rummage around," says Ben Devito, owner of Bagel Boy.

Police believe the same person is responsible for more than a dozen burglaries across the city, including five in this Brooklyn neighborhood within the last three days.

"My front door on a Saturday morning was completely closed down for three-quarters of the day. So it's costing us business and aggravation," Devito says.

Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes the person in the video to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
