Brooklyn Catholics are counting the days until the arrival of Pope Benedict XVI in New York.
The pope will fly into JFK Friday in preparation for a weekend of religious events in the city. He will be in the area through April 20.
The pope will celebrate mass at Yankee Stadium with thousands lucky enough to get a coveted ticket to the event. Michael Romersa won a lottery at Brooklyn's St. Athanasius Church.
"This is the first time I've ever won anything, and this is the jackpot," says Romersa.
Anyone unable to obtain a ticket can still try to catch a glimpse of his holiness when rides up Fifth Avenue in the pope mobile.
