A Brooklyn chandelier store is closing its doors after doing business for 70 years.
Bibi Antiques & Lighting on Avenue M will close up shop on June 30.
Owner Elliott Bibi says his father started the business in 1939.
Bibi's quickly became a staple for decades within the Brooklyn community and made its mark by selling European-style chandeliers and antiques.
The landlord sold the building, and so Bibi says he has decided to close his business.
"It's a tinge of sadness that I’m leaving it, but we're also looking forward to the future and what it holds for us," Bibi says.
He says he is looking forward to retirement and watching his son peruse other business ventures.
