Brooklyn Children’s Museum celebrates Black History Month with annual ‘Black Future Festival’

The Brooklyn Children’s Museum is celebrating Black History Month with their annual Black Future Festival.
With activities like collage making and quilting, the Brooklyn Children’s Museum and the Ashe Dance Theatre Collective aim to provide a deeper look into Black culture.
Daily events throughout the week offer families the opportunity to participate in activities that explain some of the struggles and triumphs of African Americans throughout history.
Festival curator Adia Tamar Whitaker hopes families leave the event with a new perspective on how Black history has shaped the world.
